FAQs
Quick answers about Chu Lo, our alcohol-free Japanese-style sour sodas.
What is Chu Lo?
Chu Lo is an alcohol-free, Japanese-style sour soda inspired by the lemon sours and chuhai of Japan. It's made with real fruit juice and comes in Apple, Cherry, Peach, Lemon and Tropical Fruit flavours in 330ml cans.
Does Chu Lo contain alcohol?
No. Every can of Chu Lo is 0% alcohol. You get the sour, refreshing bite of a Japanese lemon sour without the alcohol.
How much sugar is in Chu Lo?
Around 4.5g of sugar per 100ml, roughly half that of a typical full-sugar fizzy drink. Chu Lo is partly sweetened with stevia so it stays sour rather than syrupy.
Is Chu Lo vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. All Chu Lo flavours are vegan and gluten-free.
Where is Chu Lo made?
Chu Lo is made in the UK. It was founded in Manchester by Steph, a former Royal Navy captain who discovered sour sodas while deployed in the Far East.
